BOOM-1
Tactile Transducer Processor
Aviom
BOOM-1
The BOOM-1 is designed to dramatically enhance a performer’s personal mixing experience by adding optimally-processed low-frequency tactile information to an in-ear or headphone monitor mix. Adding a well processed low-frequency tactile transducer (also known as a ‘bass shaker’) to a drum throne, keyboard seat, performance platform, or even to the floor of a stage, allows the body to feel bass frequencies; this adds realism to the mix. Being able to hear and feel the mix can significantly improve the user experience when using in-ear monitors and headphones, providing powerful sound usually achieved only with large, high-quality speaker cabinets. Tactile transducers are especially beneficial to those using electronic drum kits, as well as guitar and bass amp simulators. The combination of personal mixers, IEMs/headphones, and tactile transducers allows performers to achieve powerful, exciting monitor mixes at lower in-ear levels. This reduces sound-level-induced fatigue allowing longer, more enjoyable performances, while also promoting long-term hearing health. The BOOM-1 brings Aviom-optimized DSP to the tactile experience. Designed by the personal monitor experts, it’s easy to use and provides a natural low-frequency extension to your monitoring experience. Compatible with Aviom’s industry standard A360, A320, and all other Personal Mixers, the BOOM-1 can be connected easily to the line- or headphone-level audio outputs of a performer’s Personal Mixer. It’s simple: Connect the TRS stereo headphone output from a Personal Mixer to the BOOM-1 headphone-level input. Connect the Transducer Out to your tactile transducer. Connect earbuds or headphones to the headphone Thru jack. The simple Strength setting controls how much of the source signal from your mix is sent to the tactile transducer. Use the Feel control to choose a setting from Tight to Loose that best suites you and your music.

AN-16/iv2
The AN-16/i v.2 Input Module provides sixteen channels of analog-to-digital conversion as the head end for Aviom’s industry standard personal mixing system and modular digital snake products. The module converts sixteen line-level analog audio channels into uncompressed 24-bit, 48kHz digital audio data. The AN-16/i v.2 includes an A-Net® Input jack for connecting up to three additional Pro16® Series input devices. The AN-16/i v.2 merges its analog inputs with the incoming A-Net stream, creating the expanded Pro16e digital audio stream utilized by Aviom’s A360 Personal Mixer. The digital audio data is output on standard Cat-5e cables. The AN-16/i v.2 front panel has eight four-position input level/gain sensitivity switches, stereo channel link switches for every channel pair, and per-channel signal present and clip LEDs. Digital network connections on the rear panel include one A-Net In jack and one A-Net Out jack. The rear panel of the AN-16/i v.2 also features 16 analog audio inputs with balanced ¼” TRS jacks. An audio Thru jack for each input allows the AN-16/i v.2 to be inserted seamlessly into an existing audio signal path.
