Multi-channel digital relay unit with 4 relays

The ARU204 is specially designed with flexibility and functionality in mind. Various ways of switching the 4 relays are provided, these include the integrated web interface, optional paging consoles and analogue contact triggering making the ARU204 AUDAC’s smartest and most innovative relay modules.

With this ingenious device, switching between audio sources, signal routing, and even customized automation setups are obtainable. The bipolar relays allow switching of balanced mono signals as well as unbalanced stereo signals. Normal open and normal closed contacts are provided as well. A wide variation of signals can be switched, ranging from line-level audio signals to amplified loudspeakers signals (Low impedance or 100V) and voltage distribution (low voltage up to 240 V AC mains voltage distribution).

Possibility for triggering relays through dry contact inputs, which can be used for triggering relays through external devices or actuators. Dry contacts priority over the digital functions/triggers. Typical applications are activations by external buttons, switches or alarm contacts.

Thanks to its modular nature, the ARU204 is perfectly suitable for small home or retail applications as well as big installations. Integration of numerous ARU20x units in one system is possible due to the RS485 which allows daisy-chaining of multiple units. The ARU208 features an RS485 in and output connector, allowing even more convenient connections. The TCP/IP control possibilities allow integration of the ARU20x’s in any ethernet network. The integrated web-browser running an HTML5 interface allows the most flexible and complete operation while the freely available command set allows integration with any TCP/IP based control or automation system.

The front of the black ABS housing provides a brief overview of its connection possibilities, while the back is equipped with a spring mount mechanism allowing easy mounting on widely available standard DIN rails. This way it’s possible to easily integrate it in any electrical cabinet where it can be powered using the optional PSD24x power supply.

The ARJ03P is an RJ45 splitter / junction box which can be used for connecting and splitting any twisted pair based databus which is connected using RJ45 connectors. A typical application example is the expansion of communication and audio transferring busses whereby multiple input and/or output devices are connected to one single peripheral port on a matrix system. Another typical example is the application of an external power supply to a communication bus, for powering the remote in- or output module when the transferred supply voltage has become insufficient due to the long cable lengths. It consists of three RJ45 connectors which are a ‘BUS IN’ and ‘BUS OUT’ connector for making the incoming and outgoing connections while the third connector allows the connection for the remote in- or output module. Two termination jumpers are provided whereby the communication (Pin4 & Pin5) and audio (Pin7 & Pin8) pairs can be terminated at their characteristic impedance (120 Ohm), to ensure a clear communication without reflections. A terminal block connector is provided whereby an external power supply (+24 V DC) can be connected to the bus. The +24 V DC is available on RJ45 Pin3 (+) and Pin6 (GND). The unbreakable plastic housing allows easy mounting on Mini DIN rails.

The MTX88 is the eight-zone version of the MTX series, containing two balanced microphone inputs with priority function, phantom power possibility and three-band tone control. Four stereo line-level inputs are provided where to any line-level music source such as a CD-player, Tuner or MP3 player, ... can be connected. The other two inputs of the matrix are the additional wall panel inputs for both line and microphone signals. The MTX can be controlled by means of additional control panels, its fully functional web based interface or the iPhone/ iPad Remote app. The RS232 port makes the MTX compatible with any home & industrial automation systems supporting RS232. The front panel of the MTX shows a rotary button per zone with indication LEDs for accessing controls and settings. A built-in PFL loudspeaker makes it possible to pre-listen every channel without the need for a headphone. The balanced line-level zone output connections are performed using 3-pin Euro-terminal block connectors, each of them accompanied with an RJ45 connector for connecting additional wall panels for that zone. A 24 volts power connection makes it possible to keep the MTX running on emergency power, even if the main power is shut down.
