The i73® PRO 2 is the first ever USB-C interface with two built-in pure Class A 73 style preamps. It aims to provide musicians, producers and audio engineers with an easy path to that cherished analog experience that have inspired music creation since the early 70’s. The i73® PRO 2 incorporates the same Class A transformer-balanced circuitry as the Heritage Audio classic 73 style preamps and provides all that classic mojo and vibe straight from the i73® PRO 2 to the computer. As with any of Heritage Audio’s 73 style preamps, a three way input is with true studio quality implemented: A hearty MIC preamp with up to 70dBs of gain, an electric guitar/bass input with a fast, dynamic JFET DI and a clean LINE input. But a 73 style Class A preamp is only the gate to get to the Full Analog Experience. A low latency monitoring mixing console has been developed from the ground up with an independent configurable mix for speakers and headphones within the Heritage Audio MIXER running inside the i73® PRO 2. An integrated DSP allows realtime processing within Heritage Audio’s MIXER with an ever growing comprehensive set of tools modeled after Heritage Audio’s own outboard and private gear collection. It is also possible to insert third party native plugins via the MIXER’s Aux channels. For later post-processing and maximum flexibility, the WET and DRY signals can be recorded simultaneously in the DAW. i73® PRO 2 provides the right tools to monitor audio just like in the Golden Era of recording studios out of the box and capture this sound right into the DAW with the advantage of a modern home studio workflow.
