The WP225 is a remote wall mixer that can be used in combination with various AUDAC hardware (ARES5A, MTX series, AMP523 and more). It converts the signal coming from a stereo line-level audio source (such as a tuner, mobile devices, ... ) or balanced microphone to the level corresponding to the differential signal input making it possible to transfer high-quality audio over long distances between the wall panel and the loudspeaker, by just using inexpensive twisted-pair CAT5e or better cabling. On the front side of the wall panel, there is a 3.5 mm jack stereo line input connection available together with a balanced XLR microphone input, both provided with their own knob which allows the signals to be mixed together.
It also features a Bluetooth receiver and pair button with a handy LED indicator to check if its in pairing mode or already connected to a device. Bluetooth pair name can be customized as desired. The AMP523MK2 is a mini stereo amplifier with an integrated web-based control unit featuring four stereo line inputs and one balanced microphone input with phantom power. The APG20 is an audio receiver gateway converting databus transmitted audio signals to standard line and microphone level signals. The audio output of the APG20 can be fed to regular inputs on audio amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, mixers or many more. In combination with the matching input modules (WLI and WMI) it offers a solution for two channel audio transmission (line & microphone) covering distances up to 300 meters over standard UTP CAT5E (or better) cabling. Distances up to 600 meters can be achieved when applying additional power supplies. Due to the differential bus input with increased voltage levels, the received signals are insensitive for noise, interference and attenuation over the long transmission distance. This offers the appropriate solution for high quality audio transmissions in long distance applications while maintaining high quality audio reproduction. The bus input carrying both audio channels, an RS-485 data channel and 24 Volts distribution to the transmitter end is implemented using an RJ45 connector. The audio outputs are performed using dual RCA (line) and female XLR (microphone) connections. The XLR output is accompanied with a switch allowing selection between a -40 dB and 0 dB output level. The signals carried on the RS-485 pair of the databus are linked to an RJ45 output connection, allowing daisy chaining to the controlled equipment. The ARES5A is a 2-way active speaker system consisting of an active and passive unit to be linked with each other. It offers an easy and flexible solution for a wide variety of applications.The 2-way loudspeaker is carefully constructed out of high quality components resulting in a 5 ¼” woofer and a ½” high frequency tweeter. This craftmanship in combination with an integrated DSP is creating an extremely clear and powerful sound experience for a wide range of applications.
The integrated amplifier can deliver a power of 2 x 40 Watt and includes a stereo line input which is implemented balanced and unbalanced, allowing convenient connection to any kind of audio source. Unbalanced audio sources are connected through a 3.5 mm jack connector, while balanced sources can be connected to the terminal block input connection allowing long signal runs without interference. A volume potentiometer allows the user to adjust the level of loudness while the two-band tone control allows equalization of treble and bass. The auto-standby mode reduces power consumption when no input signal is detected. The active speaker includes a stereo amplifier module, also delivering the input signal to the passive unit.
A specially designed bracket system allows close to wall installation of the speakers, while the recessed bracket structure guarantees an optimal cosmetic outlook of the system. The ARES5A can be mounted both horizontally as vertically with an inclination up to 45° on both sides, enabling to position the loudspeaker in the right direction. Due to the fact that the bracket itself consists of 2 45° corners, installation in corners or even ceiling can easily be achieved. The optional MBK455 angled mounting bracket set allows for an extra inclination of 90° when needed.
To ensure optimum safety during and after installation, the ARES is equipped with M6 drop safety.
A remote input connection implemented through an RJ45 connector allows wall panel connections, allowing expansion of the system through remote input modules. A variety of optional remote input units with different input possibilities is available.
