The Drawmer FC1 and OC1 are two compressors for the 500 series that differ solely in their sonic character. Both offer the same features set and differ only in their compression stage — FET vs. OPTO.
The OC1 offers Optical compression for adding smooth, warm and natural-sounding dynamic control across all audio sources, but is particularly good for vocals and acoustic guitars.
The FC1 is an FET compressor that, thanks to its fast attack and release times, is ideal for powerful compression of drums and electric guitars, for example.
