With two stereo input and output pairs each and an uncompromisingly compact design, the Baby RAM rounds out the bottom of Heritage Audio's desktop monitoring controllers. In addition to the completely passive signal path for maximum sound transparency, the Baby RAM also impresses with its simple operating concept, which allows studio users to fully concentrate on recording, mixing and mastering.

The Baby RAM's design could hardly be simpler: Two stereo inputs, two stereo outputs (each line-level, gold-plated stereo jacks, switchable between balanced/unbalanced), switches for mute, dim, mono and input/output selection, and the large, centered volume control make working with the Baby RAM a breeze. Inspired by the design of the master section of classic European boutique consoles, the passive monitor controller also requires no power supply to affect the sound.

The central control element of the Baby RAM is the high-quality, 24-step volume rotary switch, which with its four levels - in contrast to conventional stereo potentiometers - ensures a consistently precise stereo image. As a completely passive monitor controller, the Baby RAM operates without insertion loss that could cause coloration or signal loss.
